ウサビッチ or Usavichi from MTV Japan is Mash-san’s new favorite. He spent most of the evening of our Raider Nation Japan party to try to make us watch all the episodes.

It’s a bunny with more cotton in its head than it has brain. Actually, even a gold fish is smarter. Whenever Mash-san showed us any of the episodes I laughed until my stomach hurt. Not so much because the bunny was funny, but it was just so stupid and Mash-san was mimicking everything the bunny did so it became just impossible to not laugh my guts out

MacBook Pro(blem)

My MacBook Pro has broken down. Or rather it’s graphic card or screen has broken down. I cannot do anything since the screen get a kind of chess pattern, flickers and don’t respond at all on inouts.

Pre-Season Party

Though NFL pre-season started a while back it feels like it started today. Black Panther-san, Monlight-san and Mash-san came for our yearly pre-season Raider Nation Japan part.

And this season we have so much good to look forward to. Russel has been kicked, and Cambell is replacing him. And we have been playing well in the first pre-season games.

We have watched a win game against Chicago Bears. For the first time since Super Bowl, that feels like a lifetime ago, the Raiders look sharp

We are no watching the game against 49:ers. Cambell got injured but Gradkowski steps in a makes a good game. Looks good.

As usual people takes a nap between important talks about the upcoming season, and who is good and who is bad and how lucky we are that Russel is gone.

My first post using the BlogPress tool on my iPad. It’s part of the preparation for going to Kauai in a few weeks. The plan is to manage without bringing any of our Macs but still be able to bring you the latest events in our lifes.

The above picture was to test how to include pictures. This did not really work well with WordPress’ own application. The picture is from Zushi beach a few weeks back.

Day Trip Around Malmö

Rented a car today and drove around Malmö. Actually I was reading the map and did no driving the whole day. We passed through Falsterbo, stopped in Skanör and drove to the most southern tip of Sweden in Smygehuk.

Then we continued to Ystad where everything was closed except Max hamburgers, where had lunch. Then we drove back to Malmö and passed through Rosengård where Zlatan grew up.

Once back at the hotel Robert and I went to the basement for some weight training and sauna. Then some dinner and relaxing before going to bed.

Copenhagen

So I am in Sweden on a business trip and will stay over the weekend. What to do when you are “trapped” in Malmö over a weekend?

Well, you take the train (30 minutes or so) to Copenhagen. And end up in central Copenhagen just in front of Tivoli and 5 minutes walk from StrØget. So we did – me, mother and Robert.

We arrived in Copenhagen around 11 am and walked along StrØget to Nyhavn where, I think, my grandfather grew up. And continued the walk to Kastellet to have a look at the Lille Havefrun (little mermaid), but she was on vacation at the World Expo 2010 in Shanghai But we got a live feed so we could have a look anyway, and there were always the souvenirs

From Kastellet we took a ferry over to Holmen and walked to Christiania. The free haven for hippies and druggies. It was a bit trashy, and though I thought they were not allowed to sell drugs there anymore they still sold hashish in the open.

Instead of buying hashish we quickly hurried out and found a restaurant where we could have some smØrrebØd

We walked around for a while more in beautiful Copenhagen before we took the train back to Malmö, where we had dinner at the hotel again. This night it was chocolate mouse… for desert

Mother & Robert

Was at the office in Lund already at 8 am. Did not have time for almost anything else but meetings today. I had a plan to leave early after my last meeting at 1 pm. But I met some old friends from Tokyo that have returned to Sweden, and an important contact for one of the projects that my group is involved in.

I was 1.5 hours late when I got on the 169 bus from Lund to Malmö. It took 30 minutes or so until we landed at the Concert Hall in Malmö, just 10 minutes walk from the hotel.

Once I met with my mother and my brother Robert we went out for a very late lunch. And some window shopping.

We also had a walk in Kungsträdgården (a garden) because my mother wanted to see the Japanese garden. It was… Bamboo and rocks. I don’t really know what was so Japanese about it but a sign said that the intention was that the rocks symbolized water, which is important in Japanese culture. Well, it is a land of islands so water may be important, but what has it to do with being Japanese?

I am probably too stupid to understand the point with the Japanese garden having something to do with Japan (now I want comments saying “NO, NO, NO, you are not too stupid”).

In the evening we had dinner at the hotel and then Robert and I went to the gym in the basement. Did a light workout and spent some time in the sauna.
