Leaving Manila

Woke up early in the morning. Way too early. But we had to catch Chie’s flight to Tokyo which departed at 8 am or so. After Chie checked in I waited in line to check in at KLM. They hadn’t opened the counter yet and after a while Chie had to go to her gate.

We said goodbye and she left. Then they opened the KLM counter and almost everyone was checking in. I already had done and online check in yesterday so I could use the short line for online check in customers. Great.

Then paying the airport fee. And then immigration. I was lucky, Chie had not passed the immigration yet so I went to her and probably saved 10 minutes or so. But that was just bonus. Best part was that I could join Chie to her gate and wave her off.

After Chie’s flight took off and I could no longer see the aircraft I went to do some shopping at the duty free. I bought dried mango and mango juice. The dry mango was for my work colleagues at Eurostep. Kind a of a Japanes tradition to always bring something for your work colleagues after a trip. I am trying to introduce it at Eurostep as well. Without success, I am the only one doing it so far.

Mango

The flight to Amsterdam and then Stockholm was loooong and boring. I did not sleep much since going west means going back in time and today that meant traveling most of the time during day time (central European time zone). I arrived in Stockholm just before 11 pm and took a taxi home and fell into the bed sleeping.
