After a Typhoon

Yesterday a typhoon passed Tokyo. At first it looked like ti was going north towards Korea/China after it had passed Okinawa. But once it reached Okinawa it turned almost 90 degrees and followed the coastline of Japan instead. And eventually it passed Tokyo.

Though they say it rained heavily in Tokyo I never saw any of it as we were in a workshop the whole day. But once I was on my way home I noticed it as it was very windy. After a short phone call to Chie I decided to not take the bike home. Second day in a row πŸ™ Instead I walked to Gotanda where Chie picked me up by car. Her office had closed early so that people could get home before the typhoon hit Tokyo. But at Sony Ericsson we need to provide the world with cell-phones no matter the weather πŸ˜‰

Passing through the Shinagawa it looked almost like after the earthquake in March. So many people waiting for the trains. Some people got home well passed midnight because of the delays.

Anyway, that was yesterday and today is today. They typhoon has passed. And the only damage it made to Tokyo is a few fallen trees. We were quite lucky here. In Ishinomaki where we went last weekend they were not so lucky. On the news we could see a lot of flooding πŸ™
