Club Leo at Red Pepper

At 5:15 pm we met Ryo and Non at Red Pepper. Today we did not watch a movie as we usually do. Just went for dinner together. We had a fun time and laughed a lot. And ate even more. But not so much that we could not have desert. I had cinnamon ice cream. I was YUMMY!

St. Valentine’s Day

In the evening, after a gym session, Chie and I went to Red Pepper in Ebisu. There we met Non, Ryo, Andreas and Jonas for St. Valentine’s Day dinner.

We had a lot of good food and talked about おひとりさま (ohitorisama) which basically means a person without a date. That was what Non, Ryo, Andreas and Jonas were. Andreas and Jonas kind of had dates but they are in Sweden so it was a bit difficult to have dinner together.

We talked about other things than people without dates as well. Like what to order for desert. We all had apple pancake with vanilla ice, but I also had strawberry sherbet. Yummy!

Oh, almost forgot. Valentine’s Day in Japan means you get chocolate… If you’re they guy 🙂 Though we have to pay back in a month’s time when it is White Day 🙁

Yaki-Niku with Andreas

First thing that happened at the office today was that my PC got stuck in trying to connect to our disk server. It needs the connection to synchronize my local documents with the server for backups. Usually there are some minor troubles slowing the PC down. But not like today.

I could not get anything done the first 1.5 hours. My plan was to finish up yesterday’s meeting notes within an hour and get to my Japanese lessen at 9 am. Now I had to cancel the lessons to finish the notes after my PC decided to work properly again… Around 9:30. After I restarted it a few time.

So the day did not start so great. But the ending was really nice.

Chie and I met Andreas at a yaki-niku restaurant in Meguro for dinner. We had a lot of different types of meat, which we grilled over a bed of charcoal. And talked about anything and everything.

We had enjoyed the dinner so much that once it ended it felt too early to end the evening. Instead of going home we took a short taxi ride to Red Pepper in Ebisu.

They are always so friendly at Red Pepper. And this night was not different. We got our own room in a kind of outdoor tent space connected to the kitchen heated by a kerosene heater. In the cosy heat by ourselves we had desert. Grappa for the ladies (sorry Andreas I could not resists it ;-)) and pancakes and ice cream for the man 😛

Red Pepper

After our short visit to “Paris” we went to Red Pepper in Ebisu to meet Chie’s mother. Then we walked to Red Pepper for dinner. Yummy!

Dinner at Red Pepper

Harry Potter & Red Pepper

Met Andreas at Toho Virgin cinema in Roppongi Hills at 3:30 pm. The Harry Potter movie were going to watch started at 3:45 pm. 15 minutes is just enough time to buy popcorn, something to drink, and a last visit to the bathrooms.

The movie was so so. One of the drawbacks is that the actor behind the main character is not an actor. Another drawback is that there is no story.

After the movie we moved on to Ebisu and Red Pepper for dinner. And was joined by Henning and Miyako-san, two friends of Andreas. We enjoyed a lot of food and the company.
