Kawailoa & Kiahuna

We had a sleep-in today and was a little bit lazy getting going. As a result we were not at the Kawailoa bay until lunch time. I was in the shadow most of the time but Chie enjoyed the sun.

We stayed at the Kawailoa bay until around 3 pm. Then we left and went to Kiahuna instead. We needed a bathroom and Chie wanted to enjoy the big waves at Kiahuna. And she got a Mai Tai too.

At just before 6 pm we left Kiahuna and went grocery shopping. We had longed for Japanese food for a few days now so we found sashimi which we bought. And at home we enjoyed it as a starter.

After 10 hours sleep we finally got out of bed. Or rather Chie got out of bed. I got out much, much earlier… After around 9 hours and 45 minutes. When Chie got up her coffee was made and most of the breakfast and today’s lunch.

We had discussed which beach to go to today. The choice was between Moloa Bay and Kawailoa Bay. We went to the reception to register since yesterday it was closed. Jay Nai was there again and he suggested we go to Maha’ulepu which is an area including three different beaches. Kawailoa is one of them.

That pretty much helped us make up our minds. We spent the day at Kawailoa Bay. A big sandy beach with a beautiful view.

At 5 pm we were the only people left at the beach. So we too decided to go back home.

Before making dinner we had a short walk to the Poipu beach. Looking at sea turtles eating in the water. Had a rest under a palm tree. Saw some pineapples in a palm tree, or maybe it is called pineapple tree.

Back home again we could watch the sunset before we had pasta puttanesca and salad for dinner. Yummy!
