Hanami in Naka-Meguro

Met Chie in Naka-Meguro after work. We went for Hanami… For about 5 minutes and two photos. It was just too many people to enjoy it. So we went to Robata de Meguro for dinner instead. Yummy!

Sakura

Tokorozawa with Coco

Yesterday, in the not so early morning, Chie and I went to Tokorozawa. The traffic was kind of busy and it took us longer than usual to get there. But Coco was as happy as every to see us when we finally go there so it was worth it 🙂 In the evening we went to Musashi for dinner.

It was raining yesterday when we arrived in Tokorozawa so I did not take the usual walk with Coco. Today, though, the sun was shining in an almost blue sky. So Coco I went for a walk. It was a lovely spring weather and Coco seemed to enjoy it.

We were also lucky to find some cherry blossom. Just a few flowers on a twig but anyway 🙂

Sakura Report #8 or so

Though I have implicitly promised to not report anything more about the cherry blossom (cf. Final Sakura Report and Final Final Sakura Report) I intend to break that promise here and now. And report yet another time about the phenomenon called sakura in Japan.

The cherry blossom is approaching its end for this year. At least here in Tokyo. You can notice that by what looks like snow in the streets or rivers, but are nothing but cherry blossom petals. Billions of them. If you are lucky you can catch one on your tongue as they fall from the sky (or maybe more accurately from the trees ;-)).

This particular day it was actually raining. Still people do find means to have the yearly hanami party during sakura. Like under a bridge over river Meguro, as in the picture to the right below.

So for all of you that are getting a bit tired of all the sakura reports. Fear no longer. This is most likely the last report. For this year. Maybe 😉
