Yodakimbo

After a long week we had no strength to cook at home. So we went to Yodakimbo instead. We had a lot of great food as usual, and we talked and laughed with our neighbors. Two guys that were very friendly and funny. One of them said he was working as a secretary for the cabinet and that he had worked for the ex-finance minister and ex-defense minister. I don’t know if that was true or not, but it doesn’t matter much when you have such a fun time 🙂

Both of them were so friendly. Explaining Edo history for us. And sharing some Edo style food. One was plankton cooked in soy sauce and some spices (I guess). It was a bit salty but tasted great with rice. The other was peanuts in miso, sugar and with sesame seeds. Sweet as a dessert, but should be eaten with rice. I liked both dishes 😛

Yodakimbo with Inoshita-san

For dinner we went to Yodakimbo. We had a plan a long time to go with Mina-sensei and Mori-san but private matter made it impossible for Mina-sensei to join so we changed our plan. At first Chie and I planned to go by ourselves but then the tori nabe (chicken hot pot) dish we had planned to eat was too much for the two of us. So Inoshita-san joined.

We had a good time talking about Inoshita-san’s new apartment, snowboarding, ISO (where we all have been working with the STEP standard) and much more while enjoying the delicious food at Yodakimbo. We finished with a yummy mango ice before returning home.

Actually, before returning home we made a brief stop at Precce to buy 2 big strawberries and some micro tomato for Inoshita-san’s wife, who was home with the flu.

Social Network & Yodakimbo

What better to do on a Saturday than going to the movies. Chie and I made our way to Roppongi Hills and the Toho cinema there. We watched the Social Network. Though it was interesting to see, at least to some extent, the story behind Facebook the best part of the movie was the popcorn 🙂

When we were done with the movie we strolled around the Roppongi Hills for a while before going back to Naka-Meguro for dinner. Our destination was Yodakimpo, though today it was explained for us that it is actually not PO but BO – Yodakimbo. The food was as delicious as usual though 😛
