Social Network & Yodakimbo

What better to do on a Saturday than going to the movies. Chie and I made our way to Roppongi Hills and the Toho cinema there. We watched the Social Network. Though it was interesting to see, at least to some extent, the story behind Facebook the best part of the movie was the popcorn 🙂

When we were done with the movie we strolled around the Roppongi Hills for a while before going back to Naka-Meguro for dinner. Our destination was Yodakimpo, though today it was explained for us that it is actually not PO but BO – Yodakimbo. The food was as delicious as usual though 😛

Yodakimpo with Club Leo

Today we did not go to the movies, though we met with Club Leo. Since it was the last meeting of the year Kumi-san joined. She is usually too busy and lives quite far outside of Tokyo. But for our year-end meeting she usually joins.

We did not go to the movies but we spent the whole night at Yodakimpo eating delicious food until we could not eat anything more. Not even a tiny little mint chocolate. At least not without exploding 😉

We had a fun time. Afterwards Chie and I walked home in the dark Tokyo night.

Yodakimpo

Another long dinner at Yodakimpo. This time with Mina, my tea master. We ate a lot of food, including chicken nabe (hot pot) with a lot of vegetables. It was really nice and fresh.

Funny thing s that this was the third day in a row that Chie and I had nabe. We had at home too. But at home we use beef and ponsu whereas at Yodakimpo it was chicken and instead of ponsu we used the bouillon from the nabe with yuzukosho (paste of Japanese citrus with black pepper). So the taste was quite different, but still good.

Yodakimpo

Met with Andreas at 7:30 pm and we walked in the cool night to Yodakimpo, about 20 minutes form home. There we had dinner, and talked, or rather tried to talk. It was quite impassible because of a gang of birthday celebrators too loud celebrations.

Once we finished eating the waiter bowed deeply and said “sumimasen” (sorry) as if it was his fault the birthday celebrators were loud as a hundred steam trains’ in a echo room.

We ended the evening with Chie at Grotta. A bar not far from home.
