Osaka-jin at Yasaka

The whole day today Chie and I have been talking about shooting Osaka people (with our fingers). Just to see if they really are as in the YouTube video.

After going to Ginza to say hello to a friend who ad volunteered for Tokyo Marathon we went back to Naka-Meguro to have dinner at Yasaka.

Chie & Okoshi-san (coach/manager & runner)

It turned out that one of the people working at Yasaka was from Osaka. So Chie shot him and stabbed him with an imaginary sword. And he died. Both from a gunshot and from the sword. While working 😀

Another story about people from Osaka was actually on CNN the other day. 24 years ago Hanshin Tigers, a baseball team from Osaka, won the Japanese championship. Osaka people got so happy they threw the statue of Kentucky Fried Chicken founder, Colonel Sanders, in a river in Osaka.

Not a particular exciting event maybe… But since then Hanshin Tigers have not won a championship. And Osaka people believes it is because of the statue. So since then they have been searching in the river to find the statue. And this year they found it. That’s why this story was on the Japanese news the other day, even CNN broadcasted the story. And Osaka people truly believes that this year they will win the baseball championship because they restored the statue.
