Back in Tokyo

Left Taipei in the morning to arrive back in Tokyo around 3 pm. First thing to do was to meet Chie at the Naka-Meguro station and then go straight to the Meguro City Ward to update my Alien Registration card. This was the last of activities I needed in order to renew my work visa for another 3 years 😀

Afterwards Chie and I went to Yasaka for dinner. It was the only place that was open for dinner at 5 pm, and we were both starving. At Yasaka we had a great time as always.

Driving License Renewal

I spent 3 hours renewing my driving license today. 1 hour walking in a production line fashion to different stations where I did different things like checking my eye sight and got a stamp on my application paper. Then 2 hours in a renewal lesson in Japanese where an old guy was talking in details about how many have died in different situation and other things.

A summary of the 2 hours lesson… Wear your seat belt, don’t DUI, don’t speed and don’t run a red light. There were some more things involving street corners and cars that magnetically got stuck on the blackboard where the old guy drove them around to show what he meant.

At one time a gir fell asleep. But was quickly woken up by the old guy tapping her desk and telling her to listen up. After that she hung her head from time to time but never lay down on her desk again.
