Celebrating a Life

Last Sunday we visited a friend we’ve known for the past 10 years or so. Recently we’ve not heard from him but he contacted Chie and wanted to see us.

His been hospitalized since a couple of months back. We visited him Sunday afternoon.

It was both good and sad to see him. He wanted to say his goodbyes to us. So thin from the pancreatic cancer that got a hold of him.

We talked about our first meeting and about all the good times we’ve had together. The meeting lasted less than 30 minutes, then he was tired and needed to rest. We promised to see him next weekend when he had been moved to a hospice.

We promised him to visit one of the restaurants we visited together  to celebrate his life. So we did. Monday night we visited Butaya, and celebrated for his and our lives.

This morning we woke up to a message from his wife. He had past away just after midnight. Rest In Peace!
