Shutter Island

Another weekend day with Club Leo. As usual we went to a movie first then to a restaurant for dinner.

Today’s movie was Shutter Island. Quite entertaining while watching but not so memorable. The restaurant, or bistro, Uokin was quite OK. Very cheap, price wise that is.

Shine a Light

At 10:20 am we were seated at the Toho cinema in Roppongi Hills. Excited. Waiting for the movie Shine a Light to start. It is a movie about the Rolling Stones directed by Martin Scorsese. For Rolling Stones fans this is a must see. Although they are getting quite old they still rock. And it is difficult to sit still when they seem to have so much fun playing at the Beacon Theatre in New York.

Club Leo at Pescaderia

Chie and I met Non-san and Ryo-san outside the Picadilly movie theater at Seibu department store in Ginza at 3:45 pm today. They are Club Leo and I am kind of their member of honor or maybe a mascot. The club started a long time ago as a fan club to Leonardo DiCaprio. Though they are still fans of Leo it has grown into something more than just a Leo fan club. Friendship and monthly meeting with movie and dinner.

Today we saw Body of Lies, Leo’s latest movies about CIA agent and terrorism. It was a really good movie that I think had an undertone of chritisims of how USA is treating the so called terrorists.

After the movie we continued to Pescaderia in Ginza where we had a great dinner. And to complete a great evening we had a great desert. Or rather I had three great deserts. Apple pie with vanilla ice cream. And two cinamon ice creams. The cinamon ice cream was a special request from me a month ago, when Club Leo went to Pescaderia after having dinner together at another place. We were quite surprised that the chef had remembered our request.
