Poipu Beach

It was raining heavily with thunderstorms the whole night. We sleep with the windows open so I woke up shortly a few times.

In the morning it was still a grey sky, rain hanging in the air. We decided to go to Lihue for some shopping. Chie found some purses and I finally find the Sanuk shoes sandals I have been looking for.

We also had time to stop at Wal-Mart to buy some chocolate for our offices. And some coffee for our friends.

Once our shopping was done we returned to beach life. This time at the Poipu Beach. We had lunch at the Marriot pool side before spending the rest of the day either in the sand or in the ocean.

We stayed at the beach until 5:30 pm exhausted. It is hard work reading books in the hot sand 😉 And we also did a lot of swimming.

At home we prepared dinner. Tonight it was mustard cream sauce chicken, and salad. Yummy!

Hanelei

We decided to go north today. To Hanelei. We stopped shortly at the Princeville Golf Club to buy some polo shirts for a friend.

The next stop was Hanelei Bay. A beautiful bay on the north shore, with a long beach surrounding the bay. And Jurrasic Park mountains with waterfalls completing the view 🙂

We have visited in Hanelei before but this was the first time we spent time on the beach. But not the last time.

On our way home we stopped at Safeway for some grocery shopping. 30 minutes later we were home preparing herb chicken for dinner. Yummy!

Salt Pond & Kiahuna Beach

We went west today. To Salt Pond. A very hot place not far from Port Allen. It was hot in the sand, and if not for the wind I think we would have been burned alive there 😉

We stayed at the Salt Pond until 1:30 before moving to Kiahuna beach. At the Kiahuna beach the waves were big and fun to play in. So we did 😎

In the evening we had crab cream sauce pasta with salad at home. Yummy!

Kawailoa Bay

Yesterday we went north so today we stayed in the south. Kawailoa bay is not far from where we stay but it is still a 20 minutes bumby drive on a very dirty dirt road. The bay is quite beautiful though and we spent the whole day there.

Around 5 pm we took the very dirty dirt road back. The access gates close at 6 pm and we really did not want to spend the night there 😉

Before having dinner at home Chie and strolled down to the ocean to watch the sunset. But it was a bit cloudy so I quickly did some posing and then we went back home and had dinner.

Moloa Bay, Finally

Finally we went to Moloa Bay. It was as beautiful as we remembered it. Today was a few more people than usual there too. Though the beach is never crowded.

It is difficult to say what is so special with this beach but I think it comes down to a mix of the scenery and that it is no people here. And it has palm trees 🙂 Anyway, it is a great beach to just hang out on.

We spent the time at the beach reading, swimming and relaxing. Suddenly it was 5 pm and time to return home. We made a stop at the Safeway grocery store which delayed us so we did not return until 6:30 pm. A late dinner.
