RNJ at Home

Had a day off today as we had planned to invite RNJ to watch the last pre-season game between Raiders and Seahawks, next week the season starts. RNJ arrived around 10 am and Chie started to cook a few of all the dishes she had planned.

Unfortunately we lost the game, but it was after all a pre-season game so it was not that important. Even though we lost we had great fun. And the dishes was delicious. The part lasted 9 hours, and by the end we had a full moon over Tokyo.

By at pm all guests were on their way home, and we had already cleaned up the apartment – we are getting better and better at hosting RNJ parties at home 🙂

RNJ Pre-Season Party

We got eminent guests at around 2 pm – Raider Nation Japan. Chie had prepared a lot of as usual while I had focused on cleaning up the apartment.

This time the setup was slightly different. Usually Mash-san brings DVDs with some pre-season games. But this year we logged on to his GamePass account and streamed the videos to my MacBook Pro, which was connected via HDMI cable to the TV.

In order to set it all up I had to crawl on the floor and rearrange some cables. I think that was what caused it… I was liked clubbed the whole party. As soon as I did anything that was not lying down my nose was running and eyes itching. Because of that I could not enjoy the party as I usually do. Hopefully, the other (we were 9 people totally) could enjoy it even though I was on the sofa looking like a rain cloud.

Pre-Season Party

Though NFL pre-season started a while back it feels like it started today. Black Panther-san, Monlight-san and Mash-san came for our yearly pre-season Raider Nation Japan part.

And this season we have so much good to look forward to. Russel has been kicked, and Cambell is replacing him. And we have been playing well in the first pre-season games.

We have watched a win game against Chicago Bears. For the first time since Super Bowl, that feels like a lifetime ago, the Raiders look sharp 🙂

We are no watching the game against 49:ers. Cambell got injured but Gradkowski steps in a makes a good game. Looks good.

As usual people takes a nap between important talks about the upcoming season, and who is good and who is bad and how lucky we are that Russel is gone.

Raider Nation Japan Pre-Season 2009

Just before 3 pm the first Raider Nation Japan member knocked or our door. Actually, Mash-san used the bell but it is a better flow in “knocked on the door” than “rang the bell”. More poetic… Or something.

After Mash-san, Black Panther-san and Moonlight-san arrived. And finally the guest appearance from Club Leo, Ryo-san.

Once everyone had arrived Chie started cooking. First Japanese dishes. Then Chinese dishes. Everyone ate and was happy.

Between the dishes we watched Raiders games. The first pre-season game of the season against Dallas Cowboys. Then a game against Tampa Bay Buccaneers from last year. And finally we watched the game against New York Jets that we visited last year.

Everyone had a great time. At 10 pm the last guests left. Chie went to bed. And I tried to live up to being the best guy in the world by doing the dishes.
