RNJ at Football Lounge

I was really tired after what felt like a month long week. But we had a meeting with Raider Nation Japan at the Football Lounge in Shinjuku. Though I was tired it was fun to meet with RNJ, and watch one of the few win games from last season.

Mash-san and Moonlight-san

We also watched a few summaries of past seasons. Seasons when Raiders were great – 1976, 1980 and 1983. It seems like ages ago. It was fun to watch the win for once, and it was fun to be reminded again about how much the equipment has changed from that time.

RNJ at Home

Had a day off today as we had planned to invite RNJ to watch the last pre-season game between Raiders and Seahawks, next week the season starts. RNJ arrived around 10 am and Chie started to cook a few of all the dishes she had planned.

Unfortunately we lost the game, but it was after all a pre-season game so it was not that important. Even though we lost we had great fun. And the dishes was delicious. The part lasted 9 hours, and by the end we had a full moon over Tokyo.

By at pm all guests were on their way home, and we had already cleaned up the apartment – we are getting better and better at hosting RNJ parties at home 🙂

Yaki-Niku on Christmas Day

Chie and I spent almost the whole day watching Football. Christmas Eve is always packed with games and since game time is afternoon or evening US time it will be the day after in the morning Tokyo time. Though we could not watch it live we could follow the Raider’s game live on the Internet. We WON \(^o^)/

In the evening we were too exhausted to cook. So we again went for yaki-niku. It was (almost) as yummy as the other day 🙂

Sitting in the Delta lounge just waiting to board our flight to San Francisco. This is our yearly football trip to watch Oakland Raiders.

Pre-Season Party

Though NFL pre-season started a while back it feels like it started today. Black Panther-san, Monlight-san and Mash-san came for our yearly pre-season Raider Nation Japan part.

And this season we have so much good to look forward to. Russel has been kicked, and Cambell is replacing him. And we have been playing well in the first pre-season games.

We have watched a win game against Chicago Bears. For the first time since Super Bowl, that feels like a lifetime ago, the Raiders look sharp 🙂

We are no watching the game against 49:ers. Cambell got injured but Gradkowski steps in a makes a good game. Looks good.

As usual people takes a nap between important talks about the upcoming season, and who is good and who is bad and how lucky we are that Russel is gone.
